Knowing CB lingo has always been part of being a trucker. Movies like Smokey and the Bandit or Convoy would be pretty boring without the code. With our world full of iPhones and GPS, the art of communicating on the Citizens Band radio is dwindling; at K&J Trucking, we love trucker slang. Read on to remember the good 'ol days, learn some industry jargon, or just for a good laugh!
1. Town Clown—Local Police Officer
There are all sorts of codes for Police Officers—most notably, bear. Names like town clown help differentiate between the bears!
2. Motion Lotion—Fuel
Every trucker out there has an opinion on whether gasoline or diesel trucks are better. No matter the truck, you still need some motion lotion to keep you going!
3. Skate Board—Flat Bed Trailer
This one is pretty self explanatory, so we figured we'd include the best load out there: trucker pets.
4. Jumpy Juice—Coffee
This essential is also sometimes referred to as go-go juice!
5. Wiggle Wagon—Truck with More Than One Trailer
Sometimes trucks with just one trailer wiggle, so it makes sense the more trailers there are the more wiggling that will happen!

While this one is a little vulgar, it is a great reminder to drive safely!
7. Salt Shaker—Snow Plow
Salt shakers are just as important on the road as they are on the dinner table!

Something as common as gator guts had to make the trucker slang list!

Just because The Fast and the Furious series has been nominated for, and won, many awards doesn't mean you should try to mimic them!
15. 3s and 8s—Love and Kisses
One of the hardest things for truckers is leaving their family; they often sacrifice time with their own family so you can make memories with yours. At K&J, we pride ourselves on being a family owned company that gets you home to give your family 3s and 8s in person!
16. Kojak with a Kodak—Police Officer with a Radar Gun
One of the biggest rules of the road is helping out fellow truckers; this is a great way to warn those around you that there is a bear trap ahead!

Sometimes drivers swerve because they are distracted or injured. Sometimes they just like to change lanes.

19. Radio Rambo—Tough Talker
20. Cheese Wagon—School Bus
The Magic School Bus, a scholastic educational TV show for kids in the '90s, made trucker slang an (animated) reality!
