K&J Matching Funds for Driver's Granddaughter

Written by K&J Trucking | October 13 2018

At K&J, our drivers aren't just employees, they're family. And we do all we can to support  them in good times and bad.

On September 16, the granddaughter of one our drivers, Doug Medalen, fell from a two-story window, hitting the cement below.

Little Sophia was jumping on the bed when she fell against the window screen and fell through.

Sophia is 2 years old and suffering from a brain bleed, swelling, and multiple seizures. She has moved from the ICU at Avera to the Sanford Castle, and has now transferred to Lifescape for further care.

Donations are being raised for the family via GoFundMe, with a goal of $10,000. K&J will match up to $2,000 of donations made to the Medalen family via GoFundMe.

If you are able, please consider making a donation to help offset the family's medical expenses.

We ask for prayers for Sophia, her parents Lee and Amanda, Doug, and the rest of the Medalen family.

If you donate:

We ask that anyone donating to this cause sends us an email with the amount given. Your name and amount will not be published, and will only be used to calculate our match.
